Dr. Diane J Sutter

Medical Practitioner & Founder

“I believe women should take an active role in their health care. From adolescence through the childbearing years, where contraceptive concerns take precedence and into the menopause transition, women need to be empowered to make choices which optimize their health. I strive to educate my patients to make informed, proactive decisions.”

As a physician, my commitment extends beyond providing medical treatment; I am dedicated to offering compassionate and non-judgmental care to everyone, regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, or cultural background.

I believe that every patient deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, which is why I emphasize creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Open communication is a cornerstone of my practice. I prioritize it because I want my patients to feel heard, respected, and empowered, especially during sensitive examinations and discussions.

By fostering an environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and asking questions, I aim to build trust and ensure that they are actively involved in their own healthcare decisions.

She is exceptional. What you would want and expect in a doctor. She is relaxed and doesn't make you feel foolish. I have referred many people to her including my 4 daughters. If your looking for an exceptional doctor, go no further. You found it in her.

I only saw Dr. Sutter once thus far, and it was the best experience I have ever had with a doctor. She gave me so much useful information (more than any other of my numerous doctors ever have in the years I have been seeing them). She really understands your specific problems and doesn't just shrug them off like they are nothing. She offers any advice and information that would be beneficial for your circumstance. You can tell she is genuine, truly cares about her patients, and just wants to do anything she can to help improve your health. She is actually a GOOD doctor, one that I am so grateful I went to by chance, and I never intend on going elsewhere.

Diane Fun Facts

My journey to be a doctor involved stops at Purdue and in the Peace Corps. I initially wanted to be a Vet and my advisor at Purdue, circa 1980’s, told me that as a woman I had a snowball’s chance in hell to get into Vet school. After 2 years in Peace Corps running a post-partum clinic, I applied to medical school. And yes, I did call that Purdue advisor to let him know my new career path. Go Boilermakers!

So, my practice official website domain name is ahappyvagina.com. I could not get domain name “the happy vagina,” as that is a porn site. I talk to women almost every day about how we need the vagina to be pink and moist and happy–not a dry, grey wasteland. A happy vagina is critical to a woman’s health, her sex drive and her overall happiness!

My family is a bunch of storytellers. My dad was a talker and could really pull you in with his stories. If you put my brother and I together, we get going telling so many jokes you could charge admission.  Good news is that having that kind of memory is great for a doctor. Bad (or also good) news is that I might use my superpower in our appointment and I will share a story or two.

We have in the home pack 4 dogs and one very annoyed cat. Pack at moment has 2 older puppies – Lola is almost 13 and Danny is an unknown age as a rescue we think about 9. Abby is 5 and Winnie aka pandemic puppy (spoiled and badly socialized) is 4. Kitty El is 6 and not happy. While I do make active work of a tape roll you might notice the occasional pet hair.
